New Ownership for LAX Servers, Slicebox -> QuickPacket (Email received)

Just got their emails, which I quote here.

Dear (⊙_⊙),

We are pleased to announce that QuickPacket, LLC has acquired the Los Angeles-based dedicated server clients of T-Rex Networks Pvt Ltd d/b/a Slicebox effective March 27, 2015. QuickPacket has been providing quality dedicated server services to customers since our founding in 2003. We are focused on making the transition as smooth as possible.

We will be sending you new login information for our billing system, which includes our support ticketing system. For any billing, technical support, or sales issues, please open a ticket with the appropriate department using our support ticketing system.

Over the coming days, we will be contacting you further to coordinate several changes that will be made to improve your services.

The first change involves migrating your current hard drives over into a new server chassis that will support hot-swap hard drives. Hot-swap hard drives will enable us to install a new drive or replace an existing drive without shutting down the server. This will involve minor configuration changes for some operating systems, as your Ethernet card MAC address will change. The change will involve a small downtime to move your current hard drives to the new chassis, then we will coordinate with you to make any configuration changes. We will send additional details in the next few days.

The second change involves implementing private VLANs for each server. In order to implement private VLANs, we will we will be working with you to re-number into new IP addresses. We will keep the old IP addresses in place for approximately one month to allow you time to modify your configuration and DNS settings. We will send out notification in the next few days with further details.

We have included some anticipated questions below.

Q: Do you plan to change my pricing?

A: We do not have any plans to change pricing at this time.

Q: Will my server be moved to a new data center?

A: The servers will remain located at the Los Angeles Telecom Center building at 530 W 6th Street in Downtown Los Angeles.

Q: Will you change the network providers / bandwidth mix?

A: We are planning to implement a more diverse blend of bandwidth that will incorporate bandwidth from multiple network providers in order to improve routes. We are working with several providers and anticipate that we will have additional news in the next few weeks.

As you might already have received an email from Jeff at QuickPacket, our Los Angeles Servers have been taken over by QuickPacket LLC, on going quickpacket will honor and continue to provide you uninterrupted services for your leased Los Angeles Servers purchased from Slicebox , there will no change of IP Address or Billing amount, everything will continue as usual. Quickpacket should have already created your client accounts along with you services of Los Angeles Servers that you own should have already been moved to your new account at quickpacket. Quickpacket shall send you invoices from now on and you need to open ticket there for any support issues. In case you were in confusion or need help you can always open ticket at slicebox to help you in this transition. In this process we have now cancelled invoices related to Los Angeles location servers on our billing system as well as your servers will be set to in cancel mode in Slicebox. However as your services have been moved to Quickpacket they will show as active in that client account. Have a nice day everybody.
